Developer and agency teams need a common operating context, even when they work for different companies. The partner workflow connects shared inventory with client registration and deal activity, while the developer controls the intended access.
Agree the partnership rules
Before adding partner users, agree the projects they can access, the commercial information they may share and the process for registering a customer. Identify the people responsible for resolving duplicate registrations, ownership questions and changes in access.
Review the status-based product rules alongside your partnership agreements, including when protection starts, extends or is released. Agree how the teams resolve registration disputes; product status does not replace the commercial agreement.
Verify the partner view
Check the partner account against the intended project list. Review availability, pricing, media and any restrictions on onward sharing. Confirm that unpublished stock and information outside the partnership are not visible to the recipient.
An exported file can become outdated. When possible, work from the inventory view or collection intended for the recipient and check the current unit state before quoting a buyer.
Register customers with enough context
Use accurate contact information and check existing registration records before creating a new one. Include the project of interest and the context needed for the developer team to continue the conversation.
- Identify the customer and the responsible partner agent.
- Check the registration or ownership status available in your workspace.
- Record the next action and relevant viewing or discussion context.
- Escalate ownership uncertainty to the designated administrator before changing the record.
Keep the handoff visible
When a partner enquiry becomes an active deal, maintain the link between the customer, agent and property. Agree who contacts the buyer next and who updates the record. A message in a separate chat does not automatically update the operational history.
Use a property collection when the buyer needs a curated selection. Review shared material before sending it, especially prices, contact details and the intended expiry or access settings.
Close access cleanly
When a partnership changes, review active registrations and outstanding deals before removing or narrowing access. Reassign the work that must continue and preserve the records needed to explain previous decisions.
